As with the the Horrible Histories depiction of Charles II, it’s always a pleasure to see challenging, intellectual depictions of the Stuart monarchs on television. I’ve managed to stumble across another one today, which I feel adds greatly to our understanding of Charles I’s inner turmoil and the Civil War in general. There is also something oddly familiar about Charles’ manner. Enjoy.
p.s. I’d love to see Blackadder in Charles II time, plenty of scope for farce there.
